Following an extended stay in Toronto, Arash returned to his hometown of Vancouver and joined Grant Kovacs Norell in 2017. He maintains a litigation practice with a particular concentration in insurance defence.
Arash was called to the Ontario Bar in 2013 after completing his articles at the Department of Justice in Toronto. He went on to develop a civil litigation practice and has worked as both defence and plaintiff’s counsel on all manners of insurance and personal injury disputes including tort claims, accident benefits matters, priority disputes and loss transfer proceedings. In Ontario, he appeared regularly before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and the License Appeal Tribunal.
Arash completed his Undergraduate Degree at the University of Toronto. He graduated in 2008 with High Distinction and received the Silver Medal at St. Michael’s College. At Queen’s Law, Arash received several awards including the Brown & Korte Barristers Scholarship for the highest standing in insurance law and the K. Venkata Raman Memorial Scholarship for highest standing in international economics.
