Carina joined Grant Kovacs Norell in 2018. She received her J.D. from the University of Alberta. At the University of Alberta, she worked as a Research Assistant for the Health Law Institute led by Tim Caulfield. She was also awarded top oralist for her participation in a competitive health law moot.

She summered and articled at a large, international firm in Calgary, Alberta. During her articles, she gained broad experience in commercial litigation, including regulatory work. She has experience with both British Columbia and Alberta claims.

During law school, Carina co-authored “Compelled Disclosure of Confidential Information in Patient Safety Research” (Journal of Patient Safety, 2016). She also co-authored several publications in the area of neuropsychology, while she pursued her honors degree in Psychology at the University of Calgary.

Carina is a classically trained pianist and holds her Associate’s Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music. In her spare time, she enjoys fitness, baking, and trying new restaurants.
