After a decade practicing as a plaintiff personal injury lawyer, Fred joined Kovacs & Norell in March 2020 to focus on insurance litigation. Prior to attending law school, Fred was a secondary school teacher for several years, which he credits for his ability to think on his feet.

Fred has represented clients in the BC Supreme Court, BC Court of Appeal and Provincial Court since his call to the bar in 2009.  He enjoys taking a thorough approach to preparing a case for trial, but is keenly aware that negotiated settlements are often the most cost-effective way to resolve matters. If negotiations fail he is fully prepared to defend the case at trial.

When not in the office, Fred is most likely found spending time with his family, walking his dog or playing tennis.
