Mediator, Litigation Counsel

In Mitch’s 29 years of experience, he has successfully litigated thousands of cases. He has had success at all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada, British Columbia Court of Appeal, British Columbia Supreme Court, Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and other courts in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Yukon Territory.

Mitch has a long history of volunteerism both within and outside the legal profession. He is the past chair of the Canadian Bar Association Vancouver Criminal Section, and has lectured at conferences and courses held by:

  • BC Professional Legal Training Course
  • UBC Law School
  • RCMP Regional Training Centre

Mitch is also a trained Mediator and a roster member of Mediate BC. He did his mediation training at the Harvard Negotiation Institute at Harvard Law School and the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine Law School.

Away from mediations and the court room, Mitch spends time with his two sons and is an avid skier and cyclist. He also does his best to play piano, guitar and sing in private.
